The next major update will probably be GW2
How was something they had previously said was not possible with the current game engine come to reality not a major update?

7 heroes. There is no such thing as a balance in PvE, so why not give something to non-ursaners? We will STILL be on the disadvantage, but at least we won't bore ourselves to death.

Armorer NPC to store multiple armor sets for each character, or possibly a storage function to do the same thing. Long, long after its been asked for and suddenly out of nowhere. As per usual.

Use of 7 heroes is never going to happen.

This would be a meaningful addition, you must be joking...

I sincerely doubt we get any UI or similar improvements as long as they do not test them for use in GW2.

someone does not know what a major update is then.

Sarrows furnace?
Server roll back?
Hard mode?
Battle isles?
Pve skills?
pvp/pve skill seperation?
the changing of how to get razah?
the addition of titles?
New emotes?

every one of these were a major update (anything that changes the game the way each of those did is a major update.)

normal updates and minor ones are bug fixes game glitches, weekend events, etc etc.

I can see them adding 7 heros and pve skills on heroes.

or more storage
just because it does seem everything they say they will not do they do

I was more referring to the general trend to over-exaggerate ANet's decisions, but ended up getting carried away with skill-separation. Regardless my opinion holds that ANet will not completely U-turn on everything like everyone thinks, so to follow the trend of generally pointless presumptions, my guess is that not much is going to change between now and GW2

New Update:
1) Suits to match your dumb chaos gloves O.O
2) UW armor
3) A skill more overpowered than Ursan (only requires 1, rather than 1,2,3)

Going on their past actions, they have numerous times from what they had origionally said they wouldn't do.

So how is it not a vaild question to ask based on the information and past actions given?

I remember when people said that about separating skills for PvP and PvE.

That said, I would not be suprised to see an update allowing 7 heros.

LOL. How true. I suppose its on my grr list because if it came now it would be long after I campaigned hard for it in Sardelac and have already deleted a number of armor sets from characters now relegated to being simply storage characters.

Eye of the North items added in for PvP rewards. After that they will probably add the Tormented Weapons to the Hall of Monuments along with (hopefully)fixing the pathetic rearrange button. And of course Ursan will eventually be hit as Anet break down from the amount of threads, avatars and general whineing about it. Oh and they could further that Xunlai Marketplace and add that in seeing as it was obvious they were doing something to it around december.

Extra character slots?

Anyways I'd hope 7 heroes. And probably some end game craftable stuff which also can be added to HoM.

Nevah. Nevah I says.

That's just my bet though. At this point, it wouldnt matter a bit anymore, since PUGs and all- or mostly-human groups are dead now (save for the idiot skill). That was only ever the reason I saw that they had for not allowing the use 7 heroes. Others are right to point out that there isnt any reason for them to not allow it now, its just Anet logic is not something that makes sense in the real world, normally, so I am betting that even so, they'll defy this sort of logic and never implement it. I used to wish that they never would, but now I honestly dont care either way. I'm a throwback to playing in all-human groups so... there you go.

ANet has told half-truths before but until recently they've still had a firm foothold on the original concept behind their game. I won't defend the damage that additions like title grinding and Ursan have done, but the more recent change provoked these responses seems to be the separation of PvE/PvP skills and I don't consider these recent changes as a sign that ANet has completely lost their touch with game design and is going to U-turn on past decisions.

I never challenged the validity of this discussion but I do find making such presumptions as quite pointless outside of a little bit of entertainment. I personally don't think 7 heroes, or Haircut/Facechange NPC's and the like will ever be implemented and I don't believe recent changes will make them any more likely than before.

it was never about balance, it was about "developer vision" something that we are all struggling to interpret.

i think it kinda looks fluffy and tastes blue.
